🎄 The Tree of Wishes 2025: two cities, one shared message
With the inaugurations in Bolzano and Merano, “The World I Wish For” officially begins—the new large collective ceramic artwork by Fondazione Lene Thun.
In Bolzano’s Piazza Walther, over 500 spheres shaped by children undergoing treatment at the San Maurizio Hospital decorate the fir tree at the heart of the Christmas Market. In Merano, in Piazza Terme, a 10-meter-tall tree displays the creations of young patients from the Franz Tappeiner Hospital, from the Pediatrics and Child Psychiatry departments.

Two symbols that tangibly represent the daily work of the volunteers active in our 56 ceramic therapy workshops throughout Italy, where every child is invited to shape their dream for a kinder, more welcoming and inclusive future.

“The displayed spheres offer a preview of the journey that will lead us to the creation of a collective installation composed of over 4,000 ceramic artworks, which will be presented in 2026,” said Paola Adamo, Director of the Foundation.
