“Caring for the wellbeing of healthcare professionals means caring for the entire healthcare system.”

These words by Prof. Antonio Ruggiero, Head of Pediatric Oncology at the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS, capture the essence of ART-OUT: a ceramic therapy program promoted by Fondazione Lene Thun and dedicated to the hospital’s medical staff.

Developed over two years, the project led to the creation of the collective artwork “Don’t Leave Your Heart at Home. Everything Is Built Together”, composed of 27 ceramic tiles decorated and glazed by participants.

The artwork was unveiled on World Health Day during an event attended by Paola Adamo, Simon Thun, Prof. Ruggiero and Dr. Antonella Guido.

ART-OUT highlights a broader vision of care—one that also embraces those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
